Perfect fusion theory

Where did this theory come from? I feel like there is not any evidence to really support the idea that the most "perfect fusion" looks most human or has no extra body parts or whatever.

I think additional body parts are just design choices.

Thoughts?

I remember seeing something like this on tumblr. Basically the premise of the theory was that the more eyes or arms a fusion has, the more separate the intentions and desires of each gem in the fusion.

A good example is Garnet. She has 2 arms, which would mean something like Ruby and Sapphire have the same goals and intentions, but she has 3 eyes meaning that Ruby and Sapphire don't see eye to eye on some things, which was shown to us in Keystone Motel.

Take Alexandrite. She's got 6 arms, because the intentions of Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl are all very different because they all think and perceive things different ways. And while we don't know how many eyes she has, I would imagine it would be quite a few. Sugilite had 5 eyes and that was just from Amythest and Garnet.

I can see where OP is coming from. I personally like this headcanon, but like you said it could very well be just the designs they decided on. Although I kinda hope not because the implications that this theory could have are too cool xD

i totally agree with a lot of what you're saying, pearl. i personally think the extra appendages (since they're ostensibly trying to somewhat fit in with the human race) are a product of a lack of control or... i guess maybe, just a lack of meshing with the gem you're fusing with.

i'm totally on board with the idea that more than human arms and legs are  to do with the relationship of the two gems fusing. personally i think it's about stability and the nature of the relationship ^^ between the fusing gems.

as far as perfect fusion goes, i think it's a neat idea, and i hope it's more than just the finalized designs.

I always thought like with Garnet she had three eyes because Ruby has two and Sapphire has one. Huh.

i thought like. there was one eye for ruby, one for sapphire, and one that represents garnet lol. whoops.

Well I mean it's just a headcanon xD Nothing official I thought the same as opalescent before I saw this theory because of one of Garnets's eyes being red, another being blue, and the third one being purple which is a mix of those colors. So I always thought Red was Ruby, Blue was Sapphire, and Purple was they're combined personalities and future vision eye.

But idk. I really do like this theory, also because it would mean that Garnet is a near perfect fusion. And who knows, maybe she really is a perfect fusion and the third eye is there strictly for her future vision ability. Who knows lol.
