| So there's a theory floating around after Sworn to the Sword. In the war flashback scene, we see this giant gem we pretty much presume is Jasper. But what if that wasn't Jasper? What if it was a non-runt-y Amethyst? That would make Jasper's comment of an "overcooked runt" in The Return make a lot more sense...
Plus, the battle axe Garnet picked up in Serious Steven looked to have an amethyst on it, so...anything is possible.
Thoughts? |

| I think it could be Jasper as how she refered to Rose and Steven in The Return, also, in the hologram-memory that gem wears a helmet very similar to Jaspers. But as we don't know yet about the other gems of the kindergarden I think the mistery stays until they reveal something else. However, I agree the colors do match Amethyst. |

| Oh yes, it could still very much be Jasper. That was my original thought - however, if you look closely, Amethyst and Jasper look a bit similar in builds (their bodies). Since there's no colour in the flashback, I think anything is possible. Of course, we have to learn more about the kindergartens and gems as a whole. But, I definitely think there is potential for that giant gem with the axe to be an Amethyst. |

| I think it may have just been a random gem with no relation to either Jasper or Amethyst. Especially since Jasper's only weapon seemed to be her crash helmet, and no battle axe. Also, if Pearl protected Rose from Jasper, I think that she would have remembered her from the battle and we would have seen more of an interaction between them when she came to Earth again. I assume it's just a nonrelevant gem with no name, but you never know with this show. Little details come back to big plot points, after all. |

| Well, to be fair, when they revisted the battle field, Garnet picked up the axe and brought it home. I'm sure they can use other weapons, they just have preferences. I think it would be super interesting for that to have been a giant Amethyst.
But you do have a point - if that was the same Jasper that fought against Rose in the war, with Pearl stepping in, I think Jasper would've recognised Pearl. |

| That's true. Rose Quartz actually had an entire arsenal, now that I think about it. And Pearl can use a sword even though her weapon is a spear. So it's entirely possible that Jasper would have a battle axe for a little extra edge (heh) in battle. |
