This was lighter than I expected.

That was really nothing compared to yesterday's episode (thank god). Uneventful lol. Which is probably good considering yesterday's episode. I still really don't like Ronaldo >.> They can't all be feels-y!

Meanwhile, I love Garnet so much. She makes me laugh.

Agreed. I'm really happy that it didn't hit me in the feels.

Garnet was really good in this episode.

But yeah, this is a definite filler episode. Just what we needed.

I predict that this will be the lightest episode of the new Steven Universe.

I'm not gonna lie though - I definitely want them to BRING ON THE FEELS!

I really liked the episode as for yesterdays discussion. I think Ronaldo isn't meant to be a villian (and that gives me a relief)

I'll admit that I seriously overanalyzed stuff yesterday.

Holy red herring (or is it?).

I don't think Ronaldo would be a malicious villain, for the record. I think he'd be Obliviously Evil. The only episode that had any inklings towards him being a malicious villain was Garnet's Universe, and that was a story that Steven made up.

All other episodes of him had him be an idiot. This one is no exception.

Idiots can be villains. Technically speaking, he was serving as a villain in this past episode. We knew nothing would come of it but still, he obviously doesn't really like the Crystal Gems.

I was expecting him to, like, accidentally help the Homeworld Gems by being an idiot. Not more foreshadowing towards such/red herrings.

Like I said, I don't think he'd be a malicious villain. Not at all! I just think that he'd be doing this in the name of his blog or something like that.

On some level, I think this probably will be the worst he'll do for the Homeworld. On another, I kinda think he might do worse later on.

Oh definitely. He has the potential for sure and I definitely see him helping Homeworld somehow by being an idiot. Which will be ironic because he was going on about how innocent people were being endangered lol

I can also see him as a non-serious villain to the Crystal Gems. More of an annoyance than anything. Perhaps comedic relief.

I would probably like him more if he were a comic relief villain for the Crystal Gems.

I hate how everyone on Tumblr's hating on this episode for being a filler. Of course there's gonna be filler. If every episode advances the plot, there can be no variety.

The title was pretty misleading, though. To the point that I couldn't foresee a possibility that didn't directly involve Malachite or Peridot in some way.

Well, one thing possibly happened that's currently being overlooked. The whole Mayor Dewy bit of the episode. Something about a cover up.

Also the next episode will probably be heavy - it's about the Kindergarten.

In all seriousness, I think filler like this is a good thing.

But yeah, I thought this was more than it ended up being. I was telling people to arm themselves with foreshadowing.

Also, if you look at keepbeachcityweird, they made a meta joke and a joke making fun of YouTube's copyright system.

As for the next episode, it can't be anything other than heavy. I think I'll be dead tomorrow.

I feel like Tara Jenkins and I are the only people in this fandom who love Ronaldo. He's such a friggin' nerd and so awkward without knowing it, it's just perfect lol

I was expecting a lot more to come from this episode, but I'm happy with how it panned out. It was great for laughs and I really like that we get some lighthearted fun before the really deep stuff hits us. Also, the callbacks to Ronaldo's tumblr were great, like Steven's maybe baby. I hope that we get more Ronaldo shenanigans scattered throughout the rest of the show, maybe him being dumb and stuff will keep providing us comic relief in dark times to come.

Also, when Garnet keeps standing in the doorway watching Ronaldo cry, I couldn't stop laughing lmao

Garnet was amazing in this episode.

Who thought that the marriage between Comic Sans MS and Windows Movie Maker was a good idea?

Garnet, Garnet, Garnet. I LOVE Garnet. Master of comedy. Putting Steven on her hair and walking away. Standing and watching Ronaldo cry. Just being like "ok" when he was crying for them to stay and then watching him cry some more. Then saying his movie was poorly edited. She's just amazing.

An episode about Ronaldo and yet the highlight was Garnet. Classic Garnet.

This episode had me giggling super badly. Ronaldo to me is nothing more than superstitious nerd that has a less than normal town to feed his imagination. Like, yeah I could see him inadvertently becoming a villain to the Crystal Gems, even if by his own stupidity. But I know that once he realizes what he's done he'll feel awful.

And yeah Garnet was perfect through and through this whole episode. Her cool and calm attitude is such a juxtaposition with Ronaldo's crazy and hairbrained personality, that it makes just the idea of them being near each other absolute comedy. I love their interactions and hope to see tons more in the future

I was even thinking that Garnet and Ronaldo should interact more often. The two together seem to make for a good episode.

Meeeeehhhh this episode kinda stunk. I was never a big fan of Ronaldo, and this episode only reaffirmed it. I can actually relate to Peedee (why is he called that?! Why didn't they name him something practical like Peter?!) in this episode. But still, Garnet is so wonderfully honest. She's always straight-up with people, and I love that about her. She was obviously the best part of the episode. Plus I felt it kinda dragged on too long.
